| When I released my last album, Safe in Sound, in 2019, I declared that it would be my last solo album. It seemed that interest in albums was waning, and that folks really just wanted to hear singles.
So in 2020 I began releasing singles. And while there was a nice reception to this new music, I found that I was missing something about an album; the intentional collection of related songs, the matching artwork, and the physical object. At the same time, I realized that when I listen to music, I still almost always choose albums, and from talking to friends, it’s most often the same for them. There’s something special about an album. |
